“ A unique and amazing dinner! Speaking as a non-vegan; one who is often skeptical of vegan food, this place is a treasure, not to be missed. We went with a group of 7 people this evening and shared several dishes off of the handwritten menu. Each was unlike anything I'd had before, all were rich and flavorful, and we all ate ourselves stuffed. I don't know that you can find a meal quite like this anywhere. Don't miss it! ”

“ The food was delicious. Kluski Slaskie and the perogies were especially good. The perogies had a nice peppery flavor, while the Slaskie has delicate dumplings and umami bomb mushroom gravy. Both dishes had a nice mix of simple, complex flavors and a ton of umami. The European beer list included 2 alt beers, which were great, paired well and we were particularly excited about. We were recommended one of the wild wines and it was quite different but incredibly delicious. We were very happy. We had chocolate cake with candied sunflower seeds for dessert and it was top tier. We both loved the service model - you ordered at the bar, but the food and drinks came out lightning fast. They do tipping, but the tips are shared and split with the back of the house. Everyone in the front was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and worked in sync with one another. The only negative to us was the lack of reservations for a two-top, waiting in line to get a spot, then waiting for your table after that. I prefer the reservation system, but I'm sure there are reasons, and the service they employed in the restaurant made up for this perceived inconvenience. Overall, it reminded us of eating in Krakow, which was a nice nostalgia trip. ”
“ First time at Apteka, visited during Crapteka event. I knew ahead of time they have a huge following and get very busy. I arrived at 4:10 (opens at 5) and there was already a line started outside the door. Was impressed at the large number of people willing to stand out in the cold to eat here. Once inside, I loved the model of ordering as soon as you enter and they bring the food out pretty quickly. We had swamp burger, uncle burger, fries w: all the sauces, a chocolate sunflower milkshake and a pistachio sunflower milkshake. All the food was soooo good!! As a regular meat, gluten, and dairy eater it blew my mind how good the food was! Can’t wait to go back and try the regular menu. ”
“ Came here for my birthday a few weeks ago and sat at the bar - great time and worth the wait! I’m Polish, and had recently traveled to Poland over the summer. This meal took me back “home” if you will and there was something comforting about the whole experience. They perfectly executed Eastern European cooking with vegan ingredients. Everything about my experience here felt familiar and cozy. Overall, great experience. I’d recommend the barszcz and pierogi for sure! Service was great too. About a 30-40 minute wait which was fine (we ran some errands nearby) and the bartender who served us really knew his stuff. Attentive and kind team over there. ”
